Is my pet too old to be trained?
Dogs are capable of learning at any age, so it's never too late to start training your dog. Even senior dogs can benefit from training and mental stimulation, which can help keep their minds active and prevent boredom and anxiety. At Hunter's Moon we take great care to take your dog's individual needs and abilities into consideration when doing so. With patience, consistency, and a positive attitude, you can help your senior dog learn new skills and behaviors.

What is your approach to pet training?
At Hunter's Moon Dog Behavior and Training we believe in a balanced approach to dog training.
A balanced approach to dog training is widely considered to be the best way to train dogs because it takes into account the individual dog's personality, learning style, and specific behavior issues. This approach uses both positive reinforcement and correction-based training methods. Positive reinforcement involves rewarding your dog for good behavior with treats, toys, or praise, while correction-based training involves using aversive techniques to discourage unwanted behavior.
The balanced approach combines positive reinforcement with correction-based training methods to create a comprehensive and effective approach to training dogs. Which will help build a clear and concise way of communication between you and your dog.
